The Firm

Broadwing Capital Advisors office.

At Broadwing Capital Advisors, Inc., we are a fee-based Registered Investment Advisory firm founded in 1999 for the purpose of working with you to help you get your financial house organized and to keep it that way from one generation to the next. We have been providing financial planning and investment management to clients since our inception.

By choice, we have remained a small firm, in order to maintain quality control. We believe that having fewer people involved in the planning and investment process lessens the possibility of communication mistakes.

When you engage us as your financial partner, you will work directly with Kelly Kane, the firm’s principal. This means Kelly will be the person to present, implement and monitor your financial plan and manage your investment portfolio. Kelly will not hand off your account to a junior advisor/planner, as sometimes happens in larger firms.

When you have questions or concerns about financial matters or your investments, you can call Kelly to get answers to those questions.

Because we are small, we’ve established relationships with external best-in-class subject matter experts in legal, tax, banking, and insurance matters, to ensure that you receive the advice you need to get your entire financial house in order and keep it that way.

Kelly D. Kane, CFP®, ChFC®

Founder

Kelly is the Principal of Broadwing Capital Advisors and a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) who brings over 30 years of experience to serve you.

Kelly graduated from the University of California at Davis in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in Economics. From there he went to work in the Marketing department of the San Francisco Giants, where he served as liaison between the Giants’ corporate front office and its corporate sponsors.

He has been providing financial guidance to clients ever since.

Kelly and his two sons, Dylan and Bowen, have lived their entire lives in the Bay Area, and in Marin County since 1994. In his free time, Kelly enjoys spending time with family, his partner Diane, golfing, playing drums, attending plays, reading historical fiction, watching scary movies, and relaxing with his two dogs, Graffiti and Zelda.

Graffiti and Zelda

Co-Chief Morale Officers

Graffiti Bio

Graffiti is a Cairn Terrier and an “old soul,” whose chief goal in life is to love and to be loved. She also enjoys chasing rubber balls, especially the ones that squeak when you bite them, and running around in circles when it’s time for a snack. On her day off, Graffiti loves to lie around, which coincidentally is what she does when she’s working.

Zelda Bio

Like her caretakers, Zelda is a mutt. We adopted Zelda when she was fresh off of 30 days of living on her own on the streets, which is certainly when she developed her love of food. One might even say her “obsession” with food, which she does enjoy…as often as possible. Zelda also loves barking at critters that make their way onto our television screen. This does make it difficult to watch movies featuring animals, but at least we can rest comfortably knowing we’re protected from them.
